Stacking the Shelves & Sunday Post

I am linking up again this weekend with Tynga at Tynga's Reviews for Stacking the Shelves and Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer for Sunday Post to share all of the books I picked up lately, share my posts for the past week, and also share what's coming up soon!

Life lately:
I've doing pretty well on my book freeze for the second week in the row!  I tried really hard not to request any more ARCs this week because I really need to catch up on the ones that I have, so I can get to the books that I already own.  I feel like I'm barely keeping up with the ARCs I already have. lol!  I normally like to have at least a full week scheduled in advance but I've been having trouble keeping up with that.

I'm still doing well with the new daith piercing (that I got to help with my migraines).  So far so good.  I haven't had a migraine this week.  I really hope that it stays this way.  It's been really nice to be able to get out and do things.  I even started a new painting!  Well, technically I drew a sketch on a canvas but I haven't started the actual painting yet. lol!  I'm going to try to paint Wonder Woman.  I am painting on a larger canvas than I typically use, so I hope this goes well.  We'll see.  I will be sharing my painting of Wolverine on the 21st and then maybe I'll have this one done for next month.

I'm also happy to say that my kiddo has been SO much better this week, so I'm hoping we have finally left the weird defiant phase we were in.  Whew!  She is really good at pushing my buttons sometimes. lol

  1. That's great that this new daith thing seems to be helping with your migraines. It'll have been great to have a week of relief for you! I spent the week trying new things to keep cats out of our garden. They don't seem to much like the lavender bushes or my new citrus spray...THEY are my furry migraines!!!

    1. Yeah, so far so good with my daith piercing! I hope it stays that way. Sorry to hear about the cats in your garden. That would be incredibly frustrating. My daughter would probably be thrilled if we were in that position. lol! She LOVES cats. She'd be out there feeding them

  5. That looks like a great haul.

I would caution against getting to comfortable with the kid no longer being defiant...she's probably just trying to lull you into a sense of comfort (that's what my mini-me does!) - Katie

  6. I'm so glad you and your child are doing better. That's always so lovely to hear :)
I should really do a book freeze myself. I've gotten so many arcs this past few weeks that I'm already drowning in them.
I hope you have a lovely week ahead of you, best of luck with everything.

  7. I want to read Alex, Approximately so badly! It looks so cute! I'm glad you haven't been getting anymore migraines recently. :) You should totally paint Wonder Woman! I was drawing a lot of DC characters last month - I must still draw Wonder Woman though! :)

    1. Alex, A sounds super cute and I'm really excited about it. I just have to catch up on all my ARCs before I can finally start to read the books on my shelf. lol! I've gone a whole week without a migraine and it has been wonderful. I'm hoping that continues today too because my husband and I are going out to celebrate our anniversary.

I've started my Wonder Woman painting, but got frustrated and took a break lol! I will pick it back up later today and see what I can do.

Hope you have a great week! Happy reading!

I plan to try and pick it back up today. Heart Stone is one that I've had on my TBR/Wishlist for quite a while and I finally decided to break down and buy it. I hope it's as good as I want it to be. lol!

That is wonderful that the daith piercing is helping you, I hope it continues to keep helping. It's amazing that an ear piercing could help with such things.

    1. I know, I had to grab Heartstone for two main reasons: 1. DRAGONS! and #2 It's sort of a Pride and Prejudice retelling!

Me too! I can't believe how well it's been helping. I hope it continues and it's not just a coincidence

haha yeah, my daughter LOVES pushing my buttons it seems. And then she's an angel for everyone else. I don't get it.

I feel like I've been falling a bit behind with blogging to and it's making me crazy. I would like to get ahead because we have a little getaway coming up and I don't want it to put me super behind.
